There’s a good chance that by now you’ve at least heard of Golden Palace Casino, thanks to their crazy advertising schemes ranging from tattooed streakers to buying the stupidest of Ebay offerings to get news publicity. What you may not have heard, is that Golden Palace also opened a poker room not too long ago.

While Golden Palace casino is huge popularity-wise, the poker room doesn’t enjoy quite as much action as the blackjack tables. Still, they have a respectable number of players, which is slowly but surely growing as time goes by. Because there are a number of casino patrons trying their luck at the poker tables for the first time, there are also a lot of loose players here.

Veterans should enjoy the fast-paced games; Golden Palace Poker has a great flow with some of the quickest dealing around. Their North American servers have a great response time for North American players as well, so experienced players can get a lot of hands in every hour when everyone is in full swing at the tables.

For some reason, Golden Palace does not offer any Stud poker games, including 7 Card (which is fairly standard at most rooms). At the same time, they have good support for Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo, offering ample ring games and tournaments for both.

Operating off of the Tribeca software platform, it is a nice looking client - easy to use, quick to download, and with good sound and visuals in-game. New players should find the setup quite friendly (unless they want to play the notably absent Seven Card Stud).

While they do a good job presenting the games they do have, and offer good tournament support including Omaha variations, there is not a huge variety of games here. If you’re a Hold’em player you won’t miss them, but this is not the room for Stud poker fans.

Not a lot of variety here at all, most notably absent is the fairly standard Seven Card Stud. A good variety of stakes and players for Hold’em games however, including Omaha Hi-Lo.
